Millay Arts' Steepletop Residency, intended for those with institutional and/or private support who wish to reserve/confirm a residency in advance, has a rolling deadline and is offered concurrently with our historic Core Residency, from April-November annually. The Steepletop Residency is juried internally and is partially-subsidized, cost is $4000 for a month-long stay (two weeks also available). This residency includes a curated, diverse and intimate cohort of creators (visual and performance artists, scholars, poets, fiction & nonfiction writers, composers: 7 residents max), groceries, chef-prepared communal suppers, private bedrooms and studios, shared living/kitchen/dining space. Our sylvan, serene and inspirational setting (located at the former estate of maverick poet/activist Edna St. Vincent Millay) is secluded but not isolated, we are located in the upper Hudson Valley, nestled against the Berkshires.
