A Night To Remember Art Call

The West Valley Arts Council is seeking original artwork for an upcoming A Night To Remember World War 2-themed fundraiser at the Flite Historic Hangar in Goodyear, AZ. Chosen artwork will be on display and for sale throughout this exclusive ticketed evening event on Saturday, NOVEMBER 14, 2026. Artwork should represent the WW2 era from 1939-1945, using iconic themes of automobiles, airplanes, Rosie the Riveter, Pin-up Girl (moderate), and other social themes from that historic period. The art call is open to various 2D and 3D art media. Exhibited artwork will be displayed on easels or pedestals. Artwork must be suitable for a family audience. The A Night to Remember event will be held at the large Flite Hangar located at 1300 S Litchfield Rd Suite 210F, Goodyear, AZ 85338. Featured artists will receive a ticket ($200 value) to the event, and chosen artwork may or may not be used for promotional materials for the event, and the artist will be credited. The event and curation are being organized through the nonprofit West Valley Arts Council. www.westvalleyarts.org. This exhibit brings together diverse voices and perspectives that honor the nation’s past, examine its present, and imagine its future.Through painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, and other media, artists reflect on themes of identity, freedom, resilience, community, and change. From historical narratives to deep personal expressions, each piece contributes to a larger conversation about what America has been—and what it can become.Artists are encouraged to consider a wide range of subject matter, including landscapes that capture the changing American terrain, portraits that honor the people who have shaped its history, and scenes of everyday life that reveal the lived experiences of communities across time. These visual stories—both grand and intimate—help illuminate the many layers of the American experience.This exhibition celebrates creativity as a unifying force, offering a space for dialogue, reflection, and inspiration. We're building Culturalyst with artists, not just for them. This is what that actually looks like.The Culturalyst Co-Design Cohort is a small, paid, time-limited pilot bringing together 5 working artists to shape the next phase of Culturalyst — a platform built to support artists, surface opportunities, and strengthen cultural communities everywhere.This is not a workshop. It's not a focus group. It's a structured co-design experience where your real practice, your real friction, and your real feedback directly influence what we build next.Over 8 weeks, you'll participate in 4 live virtual sessions with the Culturalyst team. You'll see tools in active development — including our portfolio and discovery platform and an early process documentation tool — at various stages of completion. Some things will be polished. Some will be rough sketches. All of it will be real, and your honest reaction will shape what happens next.What you get:— $150 stipend upon completing all four sessions— Public credit as a contributor to Culturalyst's platform— A dedicated interview feature published on Culturalyst— Your name in a published cohort artifact documenting what we built together— Early access to tools before public release— Real influence — not symbolically, but directly in the iteration decisions we makeWhat we're looking for:An artist who has thought seriously about how they document and share their process. Someone who has opinions about the tools they use — and the tools that don't exist yet. Sessions: 4 sessions over 8 weeks, bi-weekly, 90 minutes each, fully remote.Stipend: $150, paid upon completion.Cohort size: 5 artists.

Preferred start date: late summer/early fall 2026 Position Focus Provide strategic and operational leadership for the CCAM, articulating a compelling vision for the Center at Yale College and beyond. Support collaboration across arts and technology; supervise CCAM staff; ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures; and convene and work closely with the CCAM Advisory Committee.
