The Art & Alzheimer’s Program provides engaging and interactive art tours for individuals with dementia and their caregivers. Art is a universal language that stirs the imagination and acts as the spark for reminiscing, sharing stories, evoking emotions and rekindling long-term memories. Viewing art in a museum or gallery setting provides a rich opportunity for the memory-impaired individual and the caregiver to experience social engagement, creative expression and intellectual stimulation in a supportive environment. Tours are led by Laura Larsen and are available for individuals, groups, senior programs and memory care centers.
