Artist Statement
Nanci Charpentier is a professional artist from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She has been painting in oils since 2009 and in 2014 participated in her first plein air event. She joined the Baton Rouge Plein Air group in 2018 followed by her first juried national event in 2022. Nanci continues participating in juried and non-juried plein air competitions. She has been juried into numerous national and regional exhibitions and earned several awards for her work. Nanci prefers painting in nature from life as she feels that the whole experience becomes an integral part of the paintings created. She continues to be inspired by the landscape and beauty of the natural world. Nanci teaches both private lessons and painting workshops. She is an active member of the following organizations:
