REHEARSALS: March 7 - June 16 (Monday evenings, Friday evenings, Saturdays, & Sundays- Not all will be called to every rehearsal. You’ll have a place to put conflicts on your audition form).
TECH WEEK: June 13th-16th 6pm-till (Mandatory attendance)
4 PERFORMANCES: JUNE 17 @ 7 PM, JUNE 18 @ 2 PM & 7 PM, JUNE 19 @ 2 PM

***All ages, genders, races, & ethnicities are welcome and encouraged to audition! This production is casting adults as well as children!***

The Looking Glass Theatre Company's first goal in starting this non-profit is providing performing arts enrichment to our community, and what better way than take young performers to the heart of performing arts on stage.
Broadway Student Summit is a 2-day intensive workshop program put on by Broadway Teachers Workshop for mature middle school and high school students. See website for eligibility and details!

Production Director - Sound of Music
Job Opportunity
Director of The Sound of Music, The Looking Glass Theatre Company's initial community theatre musical.
Cast auditions to be held by January 31, 2022.
Rehearsals to begin in February 2022.
Show Dates: June 17-19, 2022
Production Location: Wonderland Performing Arts
Responsibilities included but not limited to:
• Hire the rest of the production team, in consultation with the TLG board including
o Musical Director
o Choreographer
o Stage Manager
o Scenic Designer
o Costume Designer
• Work within the production budget provided by TLG board
• Interpret, analyze, and research the script to create a detailed, big picture vision for the production, and lead the rest of the production team and cast in executing this vision
• Hold auditions and cast show in consultation with the TLG board
• Create detailed rehearsal schedule
• Attend and lead all rehearsals, including music and dance rehearsals
• Guide the actors during the rehearsal process, including
o Character development
o Scene breakdown
o Blocking
o Provide detailed notes to ensure clear communication of direction to cast
• Consult with lighting and sound engineers
• Line up volunteers to execute construction of sets, props, costumes, etc.
• Attend monthly production team meetings during the contract term
• Treat all parties involved in the production with professionalism, dignity, and respect
• Help to publicize the production by making media appearances on television, radio, social media, newspaper, etc. as needed
Criteria:
• Past musical theatre direction experience required.
This is a PAID position.
